A fun new draft order, thanks to Tina Charles

My first thought when we nailed down the Tina Charles trade on Wednesday morning: wow, a franchise icon leaves.

The second thought? RIP my last WNBA Mock Draft Big Board.

Accordingly, we’ve seen some assets change hands, but more to the point for our purposes? There are a lot of picks in different hands now.

The 2021 boards got mixed up, too, but let’s focus on 2020 now. The Liberty control a lot of the board. So do the Dallas Wings, even after the trade. Put it this way: of the first 15 picks in this draft, New York and Dallas control eight of them, or more than half the total.

What does this mean? Well, it makes a lot of the subsequent picks dependent on what comes before. It means more trades are very possible. And it means a crazy Friday night for both traditional basketball and global pandemic reasons just got that much more frenzied for all involved.

How will it all play out?

TO THE BIG BOARD!
