Second Round

I think people are sleeping on Mikayla Pivec, who can provide a range of useful skills to the team fortunate enough to pick her in this draft. She’s a plus defender, belying the concern some have about her quickness. She’s an elite three-point shooter who makes good decisions with the ball, and she’s finishing at the rim above the levels we see from some of the other, more heralded backcourt prospects. She’s 5’11, so she’ll get her shot off plenty, even in traffic, and creates her own shot as well as works effectively as a floor-spacer next to a dynamic point guard, as we saw with Destiny Slocum. She’ll get into some team’s camp and that coach is going to fall in love with her game, just watch.
