6. Candace Parker

We’ve entered the realm of players who can make the case for best player in the league, and Candace Parker is certainly among that group. The thing about Candace Parker is that she does everything. She’s led the league in assist percentage and she’s led the league in block percentage, twice. She scores at every level, is impossible to guard in the paint and rebounds as well as anyone. She’s capable of playing every single position, 1-5, with an athleticism that shows no signs of decline at age 33. She’s got perhaps the best basketball IQ in the league, and she has a deeply instinctive feel for the play her team needs at any given moment. Enjoy her: we won’t have Candace Parker forever.
