10. Courtney Vandersloot

It’s not just that Courtney Vandersloot is an excellent shooter at her position, capable of getting to the rim at will and hitting threes at a 35% or better clip for her sixth season running. It’s that we may be seeing the greatest playmaker, in the raw way one measures point guards traditionally — getting the ball to teammates who score — in the history of the league. Consider that her assist percentage of 34.1 is second all-time to Ticha Penichiero, her agent and Hall of Fame point guard. But Vandersloot has easily eclipsed that mark each of the past two seasons, finishing each one north of 40 percent, and appears well on her way to doing so again in 2019. At just 30 years of age, a normal career arc would put her in position to pass Penichiero by next season. So Vandersloot does much more than pass — but it’s hard to argue anyone does that better than she has.
