Katie Smith enters year two as head coach of a New York team in transition. Their first season under new ownership since Joe Tsai bought the Liberty in January, Smith and the team will look to bounce back from a down year that ended with just seven wins.

That means Smith has the opportunity to record several firsts in her coaching career, including her first winning season and first trip to the Playoffs. Like Collen, she can also coach her 50th game this season. That opportunity would come with the Liberty’s 16th game of the season, on July 12 in Chicago.
