Is there a bigger bargain in the WNBA than what Sami Whitcomb brings at $50,000 a year? This is rhetorical, the answer is no… it is heartbreaking in a new way to look at how perfectly set up the Storm were to repeat, and then again in 2020, thanks to the plan in place from Alisha Valvanis. The draft existed to supplement the Breanna Stewart team. All of which is to say, the silver lining is that it turns 2019 into a year to manage, but by 2020, with a healthy Stewart back on the floor, the Storm won’t look much different than when they won it all last season… note that Crystal Langhorne averaged 13.9 minutes per game last season, and is signed north of $100,000 for the next three seasons…
