11. Atlanta Dream: Sophie Cunningham, 6’1 G/F, Missouri

A question many are asking about Sophie Cunningham is: just what is she at the next level? It’s a hard comp to find — one WNBA talent evaluator said Katie Douglas is the ceiling, and I can see it. At the risk of throwing an NBA comp in here, though, I’d submit that Cunningham looks to me like she can be the Ryan Arciadiacono of the WNBA, which is to say, someone capable of playing anywhere 1-3, guarding mostly wings, facilitating offense as necessary, hitting threes and providing max effort every single moment. The Bulls found out that this is quite valuable, and he’s been a key part of a largely lost season, and has worked his way into their future. I strongly suspect whoever draft Cunningham will find she does the same thing.
