Louisville likely won’t earn the top seed in next week’s conference tournament. They’re tied atop the conference with Notre Dame, but the Fighting Irish hold the tiebreaker thanks to their victory over the Cards in South Bend in January. However, Louisville is still very much in contention for a top seed in the NCAA Tournament.

N.C. State came into Thursday ranked No. 8 in the NCAA’s Rating Percentage Index, and the 30-point beatdown gave Louisville its second win this season against top 10 teams in the RPI.

The Cardinals likely still have some work to secure that top seed. Namely, they’ll likely need to reach the tournament final, but if they do that, then they may find themselves on the top line when the NCAA field is announced.

Durr, who also scored 47 last season against Ohio State, has been even-keeled all season, not letting emotion get the best of her as she and her team pursue a return to the Final Four and the school’s first NCAA title. She stayed in that character tonight as she said she’s grateful but still not satisfied.

“This was a huge win,” she said. “Obviously, we played great tonight, but we have to keep on going. Each game is not going to be the same.”
