South Bend:

1. Notre Dame (ACC)
16. North Carolina A&T (MEAC)

8. South Dakota State
9. LSU

Ames:

5. Arizona State
12. Wright State (Horizon)

4. Iowa State
13. Quinnipiac (MAAC)

Before you freak out about LSU being a 9 seed, just know that the Tigers are technically a 10 on the seed line, but were bumped up to accommodate bracket rules. Still, you’d be fully justified in dropping them out entirely with a 12-7 record and three losses in four games. A home win against Texas A&M and a roadie over Florida State are keeping LSU afloat. For now.

Spokane:

6. Miami
11. New Mexico (Mountain West)

3. Gonzaga
14. UC Davis (Big West)

Palo Alto:

7. Kentucky
10. Purdue

2. Stanford
15. Northern Colorado (Big Sky)

It’s weird seeing these two pods anywhere but in the Portland regional, but here we are. Miami’s win at Syracuse put to bed any doubt about its resume, and almost as importantly, the Hurricanes avoided a letdown against Boston College later in the week. With their spot in the field secure for now, they can turn their attention toward Florida State. A win in Tallahassee could put them in the conversation to host.
