Las Vegas Aces trade Kelsey Bone, Kelsey Plum and the 2019 number one overall pick for Liz Cambage

By Blake DuDonis

When Vegas landed the number one pick in the WNBA lottery, who knew that Liz Cambage would potentially be an option with the pick? With no clear cut number one pick, even if Oregon’s Sabrina Ionescu declares early, the chance to snag one of the league’s most dominate players might be too much for Bill Laimbeer to pass up. Can you imagine the options of an offense with A’ja Wilson and Liz Cambage inside?

The #1 pick would have to be a part of the deal, as would a few other players. Kelsey Bone and any bench player are on the table, but it may take a bit more than that.

While it’s a hefty price, I would be willing to give up the #1, Bone and Kelsey Plum for Cambage. Though the risk is there that she may leave at anytime, the paring of Cambage and Wilson, plus Kayla McBride and Moriah Jefferson gives you a good enough core to win, and win now.
