Storrs:

1. Connecticut (AAC)
16. Howard (MEAC)

8. South Carolina
9. Minnesota

Tallahassee:

5. Texas
12. James Madison (CAA)

4. Florida State
13. Quinnipiac (MAAC)

If you’re keeping track, we are now five weeks out from Texas’s last loss. In that time, the Longhorns have won three games on the road, including one at Iowa State — their best win of the season to date. That win, however, remains their only victory in Group 1 (RPI 1-50). Their SOS will continue to rise, as nine out of 10 Big 12 teams have winning records.

Syracuse:

6. Oregon State
11. Green Bay (Horizon)

3. Syracuse
14. Troy (Sun Belt)

Starkville:

7. DePaul
10. Michigan

2. Mississippi State (SEC)
15. Radford (Big South)

No matter what happens the rest of the season, I hope Syracuse and Troy hold their seeds so I can make endless Ancient Roman/Greek jokes about their matchup. Also, maybe I’m being too good to Michigan. I’m not sure. They have no inexcusable losses, but sooner or later the Wolverines will have to win a tough road game.
