“The momentum we gained at the end of last season…gave us a lot of energy as a team. The chemistry is starting to click and we’re really buying into it because we know how good we can be.” –Aislinn Konig

Going into Sunday’s mid-day match, the North Carolina State Wolfpack were one of nine undefeated teams in the country-one of three in the Atlantic Coast Conference. After a 75-45 victory over fellow North Carolina team, Davidson, the Pack are now 13-0 and go into 2019 and conference play unblemished.

Each year, Coach Wes Moore and his team are underestimated and each year, they exceed expectations. NC State currently holds an RPI of five, and averaged an almost 20 point margin of victory during the strong preseason schedule.

NC State is among the top ten in the nation in rebounding: 45.7 per game and a +13.1 rebound margin.  The Pack also is 18th in the nation from the field, shooting 47 percent per game; they have only fallen short of 40 percent once this season, against Michigan.

Their performance to date marks 27 consecutive non-conference victories at home.  These wins are not surprising to those who follow NC State closely.  Under the guidance of Moore, the Pack has become an NCAA post-season regular.  And NC State is on-pace to continue the consistency.
