Doug Bruno has his team on top yet again.  The reigning BIG EAST Conference champions share the top preseason votes with Marquette. Bruno has led the Blue Demons to 11 consecutive 20+ win seasons. In the past five seasons, DePaul has done no worse than tie for first place.

Like Marquette, DePaul will play two Top Five teams this preseason. Unlike Marquette, they will do so with a roster full of underclassmen. If the Blue Demons want to remain on top, they will have to do so with six true freshmen. However, five of their six players who averaged double-digit points per game are returning. Not too bad!
