Win Number 100: 87-79 over the San Antonio Stars, June 1, 2014

While the heroes of the Cheryl Reeve tended toward the Big Five—Whalen, Augustus, Moore, Rebekkah Brunson and after 2015, Sylvia Fowles—plenty of role players contributed to the Minnesota success along the way as well. So it was on a June Sunday in 2014, when Tan White hit her third three of the game to put the Lynx up by ten midway through the fourth, earning screams of praise from her teammates and a shoulder bump from Reeve.

“Oh my god,” Augustus said. “I didn’t know she was going to shoot it. I think everybody was kind of surprised that she just kind of pulled up with (Kayla) McBride right in her face.” It would be White’s season-high in points, during what proved to be her final season in the league. But it was yet another example of Reeve finding the right player at the right time.
