Win Number 50: 78-60 over the Phoenix Mercury, June 15, 2012

The defending champions by now, the Lynx registered the best start in league history by routing a Mercury team missing Diana Taurasi, 78-60. Lindsay Whalen scored 29 points, a season-high in 2012, though her career-high is 33. And Reeve even took a moment to enjoy some of the numbers piling up.

“We’re excited about that,” Reeve said after the game. “We’re not a team that talks about records, but when it got to be nine we thought, `What the hell? Let’s embrace this thing and take our place in history.’ We’re happy to be the only team to start off 10-0.”
