Win Number 1: 80-74 over the Tulsa Shock, May 15, 2010

The big story from Reeve’s first win wasn’t her debut as head coach, but the first WNBA game for sprinter Marion Jones, who returned to the game after a checkered track and field career.

While reporters huddled around Jones, who played less than four minutes, Lindsay Whalen also foreshadowed what was to come, finishing with 10 points, six assists and a pair of late daggers to give the Lynx the victory. Jones played two seasons with the Shock, retiring after 2011. The game marked the Shock’s first since relocating from Detroit (where Reeve had been an assistant). After playing in Tulsa until 2015, the same franchise has now been playing in Dallas for three years.
