4. Elena Delle Donne

It is easier to list the things Elena Delle Donne can’t do on the basketball court. She managed to finish right at her career rate in PER in 2017, 28.5 vs. a 28.3 career mark, despite moving to a new team and system in Washington. She hit threes at a 38.8 percent mark, which is a problem, because she is also totally impossible to stop when she gets going downhill, which is also a problem, because she’s 6’5 and ox-strong, meaning she can start going downhill anytime in a possession at her choosing. She rebounds. Her block percentage hovers around four, each season. Her defense is unfairly maligned—per Synergy, among players with at least 100 possessions, she ranked ninth in the league in defensive points per possession. Essentially any of the top ten could be in the top spot here, and Delle Donne is no different.
