5. Breanna Stewart

Don’t lose, in the midst of what was a difficult season for the Seattle Storm, that Breanna Stewart showed some improvement over a rookie season that already placed her among the WNBA elite. Her three-point percentage improved from 33.8 to 37.1 percent. Her efficiency from two increased as well, while her turnover percentage dropped. Only a drop in her defensive numbers prevented an overall jump in her win shares, and with Dan Hughes as her new head coach, expect those to improve in year three as well. It’s easy to forget that Stewart is still just 23. There’s no ceiling here. Nobody knows what a player like Stewart looks like in her peak. And soon, we get to find out.
