Finals: Sparks vs. Lynx

For the third consecutive year, the Sparks and Lynx will meet in the WNBA Finals. Is it the most creative pick we could have mustered? No. But if it happens, will it be the most fun? For sure. We’ve long argued that the WNBA needs fierce rivalries to fire up its fanbases and draw interest from new fans, and a finals three-peat would only help. The Sparks won it in 2016. The Lynx won it last year. You think the fans of the losing team in 2018 will hold a bit of a grudge for losing 2/3? You think the winning team will brag about it endlessly on Twitter? We can only hope.
