Asia Durr, 5’10 G, Louisville
Sure, this pick could easily fall to Las Vegas and its already-technicolor backcourt, or someone else without a perimeter need. But it is difficult for almost anyone to imagine a WNBA team passing on Asia Durr. Think of her this way: the ability to avoid turnovers and create off the dribble of Kelsey Mitchell, the size to guard twos, the quickness to guard ones, efficient from beyond the arc, a developing game at the point when asked: Durr fills the role of the very modern combo guard in a Skylar Diggins way. She’d have been in the top three discussion if she’d been in the 2018 class, and another year isn’t likely to change that.
