2. Indiana Fever: Kelsey Mitchell, 5’8 G Ohio State

Even though Azura Stevens has to be intriguing to Chatman—her ability to run, score in transition, and create mismatches would be a seamless fit in Chatman’s offensive scheme—it is difficult for anyone to see her passing up the chance to draft and mold Kelsey Mitchell, whose substantial gifts represent a new way forward for the Fever franchise. Put it this way: Pokey loves to run. Kelsey Mitchell is the fastest guard in the draft, and limits turnovers despite playing the game at this breakneck pace. It is possible to overthink this, but I doubt Chatman and the Fever will.
