2018 WNBA Draft Big Board v. 6.0: Azura Stevens shakes up the board
Round 3
Look, there were always going to be doubts about Morgan William at the next level, given her listed height of 5’5 (which is not, obviously, accurate). But here’s why I think she gets a chance, and ultimately, sticks in the league. She can finish at the rim, and do it in the halfcourt set, creating on her own, north of the top tenth percentile in the country on both counts, per Synergy. She’s a plus defender who eliminates any size mismatches with a 5’11 reach. She’s a competitor to the point she played most of her sophomore season on a broken leg. And here’s something multiple WNBA talent evaluators have echoed: you know that Morgan William has a capacity for the big moment.
