Round 3

There’s every possibility St. Louis guard Jackie Kemph has played her last collegiate game, which is a shame, since the best way to appreciate her skills comes in live action. Her assist percentage reflects an ability to find teammates like few others, 36.8 percent rating 26th in the country and the fourth straight year she finished in the national top 40. She’s continued to cut her turnover percentage, but keep in mind how many of those turnovers come because she plays the game at a different speed, a bug at times in college, a feature at the next level. She sees the game extraordinarily well. She stepped up with 28 points in the Atlantic 10 quarterfinals to extend her career with an upset win over Duquesne. She should get her name called on draft night, and there’s every chance some coaching staff is going to find minutes for her, a real rarity at this point in the draft, but not impossible (ask Dallas and Saniya Chong just last season).
