Storrs:

1. Connecticut (AAC)
16. Liberty (Big South)

8. Virginia
9. California

The conversation has already begun. Does UConn, which plays in the American, deserve the No. 1 overall seed over fellow undefeated Mississippi State? The answer, and quite easily, is yes. The Bulldogs’ resume is fantastic, don’t get me wrong. But UConn owns wins over each team ranked 5-10 in the AP Poll. It’ll get a shot next week against No. 4. Meanwhile, Mississippi State has only beaten two teams in the top 10.

Columbus:

4. Ohio State
13. Drake (Missouri Valley)

5. Missouri
12. South Dakota (Summit)

Ohio State has responded nicely to its three-game hiccup in January, albeit against competition that it should beat. Meanwhile Missouri has continued to stumble and just barely avoided an awful loss to Florida on Monday.
