Starkville:

1. Mississippi State (SEC)
16. Bethune-Cookman (MEAC)

8. West Virginia
9. Virginia

Mississippi State, West Virginia, and Virginia all did what was expected of them last week. Coming up, the Cavaliers host Louisville, the Mountaineers face Texas, and the Bulldogs get South Carolina. Things will change, one way or another.

Columbus:

4. Ohio State
13. Gonzaga (WCC)

5. Green Bay (Horizon)
12. Western Kentucky (CUSA)

The Buckeyes snapped their three-game losing streak against a Michigan State team that also desperately needed a win. As a result, Ohio State stays as a protected seed for now. Their reward, in this projection, would be a likely second-round game against Green Bay. The Phoenix have yet to lose in 2018.
