Notre Dame’s junior guard Arike Ogunbowale and Syracuse’s freshman center Amaya Finklea-Guity earn Atlantic Coast Conference Women’s Basketball Player of the Week and Rookie of the Week, respectively.
Ogunbowale had much to do with the historic Fighting Irish comeback. She played an integral part in diminishing the 23-point deficit, enabling Notre Dame to secure an 84-70 win against sixth-ranked Tennessee with a 13 point performance in the fourth quarter.
She was the leading scorer of the game at 27 points, eight rebounds, four assists and two steals: an across-the-board showing.
Notre Dame clinched another win, days after Tennessee. In the 90-37 annihilation of the Clemson Tigers, Ogunbowale totaled 23 points, three rebounds, five assists and two steals.
