The holiday break concluded for the Atlantic Coast Conference and conference play begins in two days. Before the break, red-shirt senior guard Lexie Brown (Duke) and freshman guard Milan Bolden-Morris (Boston College) delivered stellar performances, resulting in ACC Women’s Basketball Player of the Week and Rookie of the Week honors, respectively.

Brown takes Player of the Week for the second week in a row. She has been a consistent leader for the Duke team that is currently 10-2. The starting guard averaged 24.5 points, 4.0 steals, 3.5 rebounds and 3.0 assists in two Blue Devil face-offs from last week.

In the 69-39 victory over Maine, Brown contributed 26 points, five steals, three rebounds and three assists.  Her commendable stat line came with high efficiency; she was 11-of-13 in field goals and 2-of-3 in three pointers. Later that week, she produced similar results in the 63-40 win over Wyoming.  Brown recorded 23 points, four rebounds, three assists and three steals against the Cowgirls.  She made 10-of-11 free throws, good for 90.9 percent.

Boston College had a .500 week, but Bolden-Morris had a Rookie of the Week display.  Bolden-Morris reached a career high 18 points (with the addition of eight rebounds) in the 64-55 win over New Hampshire.  The following game against Providence, which resulted in a 55-63 loss for the Eagles, Bolden-Morris still scored 16 points and grabbed five rebounds.

Bolden-Morris averaged 17 PPG-52.2 percent from the field and 50 percent from range-in the 1-1 Boston College run.  Boston College is now 5-7.
