Question 3: Who or what has surprised you the most, for better or for worse?

Schwartz- Geno back on Twitter and podcasting.

Brown- The Baylor Bears have surprised me the most thus far. The mix of veteran talent and underclassmen talent has led me to believe that they will be a dangerous team in the making that is flying under the radar with the narrative of Uconn and South Carolina.

Potkey- I wouldn’t say anything has surprised me in a major way yet because there still isn’t enough body of work to make broad-based declarations or assumptions. But the offensive production so far – individually and team – has been great to see. There have been some record-breaking performance already and several 3-point records have fallen. It will be interesting to see if this continues in conference play when the scouting is more detailed because of familiarity.

Chambers-Honestly, my biggest shocker is seeing how seamlessly these transfers and new additions are for teams across the nation. The transfer situation is not something I favor, but it’s working to teams’ favor and creating new team identities, which stirs audience excitement.

DuDonis- I will admit right here that I didn’t believe in Notre Dame, even when Jessica Shepard got cleared. I thought that they would lose to either Western Kentucky or Oregon State, both games they grinded out to win. Even after that, I assumed they would make it to the championship game of the Gulf Coast Showcase (they did), play South Carolina (they did) and lose (they did not). Now 6-0 and ranked #3 in the country, I will sit down at my dining room table and eat my crow.
