Last year’s record: 7-22, 3-13 B1G
Key Returns:
Janay Morton: 13.5 PPG, 37.8% 3PG
Biggest Losses:
Allie Havers: 6.9 PPG, 5.3 RPG; Nebraska Teammate Award, Nebraska Kathy Branchaud Most Improved Rebounder Award, Tom Osborne Citizenship Team
Jessica Shephard: 18.6 PPG, 9.8 RPG; Second-Team All-Big Ten, Big Ten freshmen of the year, Naismith Trophy Midseason top 30, Nebraska Athletics newcomer of the year
Outlook: Injuries and lack of performance took apart Nebraska’s 2016-17 season. They return a large majority of their roster from last year, but lose top scorers in Jessica Shephard and Allie Havers. Redshirt senior Janay Morton returning adds some veteran skill to the roster, but this team needs a few more pieces before they can become a contender.
