Commitment to the Process is Big Part of Success at ECU

ECU is coming off a tough season, but this year they have more experience and some added depth in the post.  “We have a team that is growing every single day and that is receptive to coaching and improvement and really just attacking that process,” said Head Coach Heather Macy.

Macy said “Raven Johnson has put a ton of time and continues her growth.  We have seen great improvement in her game. Dominique Claytor has been looking really great in workouts and the way she is just a mismatch and disruptive on the defensive end.”

She is also looking forward to see what the new team members can do.  “We have such a nice dynamic of freshman who are from winning programs who are adjusting really well to the college level. So we are hoping they help us right away.”

ECU also added two forwards both taller than six feet in Tania Pierre-Emile and Desiree Corbin.

“Our program is built on the concept of being fully committed and the mantra for that is two feet in and we believe it is the key to being successful here whether you are talking about a kid who just joined us or has been here for a long time,” said Macy.
