Earlier this year, Kara Lawson told The Summitt that the greatest untapped resource in women’s coaching today is former WNBA players. It would be hard to pry Lawson away from her gig as the future of ESPN’s basketball broadcasting, and a loss to viewers everywhere, but it is easy to imagine Lawson as an excellent choice to lead the Seattle Storm, especially given her success within the USA Basketball system on the coaching side. There’s also Lindsey Harding, eager to get into coaching, or Temeka Johnson, who played several seasons in Seattle.
