LOS ANGELES, CA – OCTOBER 14: Center Sylvia Fowles

West frontcourt: Sylvia Fowles, Minnesota Lynx

It’s important to realize that Fowles, already a Hall of Famer if she retired today, is having a season for the ages. She’s putting up a player efficiency rating of 35.2 so far, which would be the best mark in the history of the WNBA. She’s doing it on only twos, with a field goal percentage of 66 percent, within striking distance of the best mark in league history, and a jump from the 58.5 percent career mark she has (which itself already stood as best in league history). The number stories go on and on, but just watch her. This is the best center in league history at the height of her powers. She recently told The Summitt a goal of hers is to win a regular season MVP. She’s on her way.
