The Mercury are a top-four team in the league both offensively and defensively, and that’s coming mostly from Brittney Griner, who is making the leap everyone expected, and Diana Taurasi, who it turns out can still score at will. We’re about to learn a lot about this Mercury team: after June 16’s game against the Sky, Phoenix faces this four-game stretch: at L.A., at Seattle, Minnesota and Washington.
