The Summitt WNBA Power Rankings, June 5 edition
1. Minnesota Lynx
Really, what is there left to say? Seattle was fantastic at home all year. Minnesota dominated them for four quarters and put up 100 points. Fowles scored 26 in a half, so Seattle doubled her, and Rebekkah Brunson, everybody’s favorite perimeter shooter now, went off. Not only are the Lynx winning, note that coach Cheryl Reeve has every one of her starters averaging fewer than 30 minutes per game, a nod to the long-term. This might be the best of the Lynx teams we’ve ever seen, especially since they’ve done it so far with Maya Moore shooting 31.6 percent (!) from the field. Hard to imagine that lasting.
