The champions showed up on May 30 against the New York Liberty, combining effective defensive stands with varied offensive sets to pull away in New York, no easy feat. Yet this Brian Agler team still ranks eleventh in the league in defensive efficiency for the season, so this ranking reflects a belief that is the outlier, not the offensive that tops the league, powered by the usual suspects and a breakout season by Chelsea Gray.
