Atlanta Dream (+800)

I have to admit, this one surprised me too. With superstar Angel McCoughtry out for at least part of the season, with no real timeline for her return, the Dream will likely struggle to be among the league’s elite. Elizabeth Williams, last season’s Most Improved Player, returns along with Sancho Lyttle and others, and there is a lot of buzz around rookie Brittney Sykes. All that said, this team had the worst assist-to-turnover ratio in the league, and they finished in the bottom half in both offensive and defensive rating. Even with McCoughtry, these odds don’t make a lot of sense to me.
