The “almost” contenders

New York Liberty (+500)

The top Eastern Conference team for two seasons running, the Liberty will try to make their first WNBA Finals appearance since 2002. The always reliable and seemingly never-aging Tina Charles leads the way for this team, coming off a year where she averaged a career high 21.5 PPG. She did that all while adding a three point shot to her arsenal, shooting a very respectable 35% from deep. Adding newcomers Kia Vaughn and Bria Hartley, to go along with returners like Sugar Rodgers and Kiah Stokes, this Liberty squad will be ready to finally get over the hump.
