SYLVIA FOWLES

Sylvia Fowles is the leader of Minnesota’s interior, and a very deep one at that. She’s hungry to see their collective capability when the season begins.

“I’m very pleased with the post players that we have. I’m eager to get out on the floor and I’m ready to play,” she said.

Fowles has fit nicely with the Lynx since her arrival in 2015, but her head coach is hoping to ignite a dose of aggression to elevate her impact on the floor.

“In her opinion, she thinks I’m somewhat conservative. She’s trying to get me to psycho mode and I don’t think she’s going to get me there quite yet,” Fowles said. “I’m not going to give coach Reeve the pleasure of making me crazy.”

Fowles was slightly teasing, but whatever plays out, Lynx fans are always pleased to see her dominate the paint.
