RENEE MONTGOMERY

No matter how old Minnesota’s team is, their ongoing capacity for outstanding play impresses Renee Montgomery. The 30-year-old guard teased about locating the team’s fountain of youth so she can keep playing.

“Each year, we hear about how old our team is getting and each year, especially our core group, they come out and they perform,” she said. “I don’t know if the Minnesota Lynx purchased the fountain of youth and we have it in the back…that window of opportunity is wide open.”

Montgomery spoke to the media after crashing Maya Moore’s interview. Montgomery calls her disgusting, but no need to worry, she used the word as a slang term to describe Moore’s impeccable study habits.

“If somebody invents a brand new game, right now, tells her the rules, within an hour she’s probably going to the best in the world at it,” Montgomery said.
