New York Liberty
PICKS
Round 2, Pick 2 Lindsay Allen, PG, Notre Dame
Round 3, Pick 10 Kai James, C, Florida State
Pretty solid job here by the Liberty making the most of a draft they didn’t join until the second round, thanks to the trade of their first round pick for Amanda Zahui B (a total heist getting the uber-talented Zahui B for the tenth pick, in my opinion). I will admit to being surprised they picked Allen over Alexis Peterson and Feyonda Fitzgerald, two point guards who grades out better by the metrics, particularly on offense. James’ rebound percentage topped 20 on both offensive and defensive boards, but making the Liberty, particularly in the front court, won’t be an easy task.
