POWER FORWARD: Jessica Shepard, from Nebraska: a legit 6’4 star with the Cornhuskers despite two seasons with limited supporting casts and a coaching change in the middle, Shepard fought through double teams all season to average a virtual double-double with 18.6 points and 9.8 rebounds per game. Though her efficiency from two dropped (a consequence of Rachel Theriot graduating and Natalie Romeo transferring to Washington), she added the three to her repertoire, and in a lineup with more firepower, she has a chance to make some All-American teams before she’s finished playing.
